Shaw has a dru-free policy resulting in disqualification of applicants and immediate termination of employess if a Urinalysis comes back positive or has been tampered with. Urine tests are usually given within a week before actully starting to work, and therafter, random drug tests are given, seemingly to at least one suspected user in every group of random tests. the random tests are not only given to "randme" employees, but at any time. No set procedures exist within company policy to designate how often a group of random employees is tested, nor is a specific number of employees to be included, leading to the belief among employees that the random tests are not quite so random. |
