Alcohol testing, due process, DUI

Maurice Corbeil appeals a lower court's ruling that admitted evidence he agues should have been barred from his trial on DUI charges. Corbeil was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Corbeil said the arresting officer failed to articulate his Miranda rights. Corbeil argued at trial that comments he made to the officer should not allowed as evidence. Corbeil also argued that the state's DUI statue was ambiguous.

The trial court determined that Corbeil received adequate explanation of his Miranda rights and allowed his comments to be entered as evidence. The court also ruled that the state's statue was not ambiguous. Corbeil now appeals.

Corbeil loses. The Appellate Court of Connecticut affirmed the decision of the lower jurisdiction.
