Esther Rodriguez files suit against her former employer, M & M Mars, claiming the company terminated her employment because she complained about sexual harassment. Company officials responded with a motion for summary judgment, arguing Rodriguez was terminated because she made several false accusations against her co-workers.

This is the first judicial review of this case.

Rodriguez loses. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted defendant's motion for summary judgment and dismissed the case with prejudice. The court noted that Rodriguez submitted no evidence to support her complaint.
