Case Summary:
Constance Ferrell petitions the court for access to a co-worker's drug-test results to support here suit against her employer.. Ferrell believes the test results will substantiate her claims of sexual harassment. . Ferrell filed suit against her employer, Shell Oil Company, her supervisor, and several co-workers. She alleges sexual harassment and infliction of emotional distress. The company and the individual employees file motions to block Ferrell's access to the test results.

This is the first judicial review of this case.
 
Outcome:
Ferrell wins. The United States District Court of Eastern Louisiana granted Ferrell's motion for the documents. The court ruled that that Ferrell was entitled access to the files under the rules of discovery.
