WinStuff LLC is found to do Employee Urine Drug Testing

Company Name: WinStuff LLC Date Posted:9/10/2001 12:00:00 AM

Test Type: Urine
First Hand Experience: Yes
Test Frequency: Pre-Employment Only
Comments: WinStuff's Bristol, VA location is probably closing soon - poor management and greedy owners have looted the company. I did NOT have to take a test prior to employment because when I was hired several years ago a company-wide testing procedure was not in effect. Now, there is a testing procedure (pre-employment) at the Bristol site, anyway, (WinStuff/GoodStuff is a stuffed animal wholesale amd coin-operated (cranes) business headquartered in Long Island City, NY...screw the NY Yankees). I DO not know the testing procedures at the New York office, but I would assume they are the same since the New York office instituted a large number of fascist employee spying procedures after they bought out the previous Bristol company (Consolidated Route, Inc.), including installation of closed circuit cameras (not in the management areas, of course...I still managed to get whatever I wanted out the door), employer intimidation of all kinds, lack of information disseminated throughout the company, anti - union talks, moving the production operations to New Jersey where the scumbag CEO of the company, Sid Banon, has a "family friend" who was more than willing to take the production over and put some ten employees in Bristol out of work. Mr. Banon apparently gets a kickback for sending this buisness to his Mafia-connnected buddies in NJ. Do yourself a favor and DON'T bother to apply to this company...it is full of unqualfied losers in positions of authority. One week, we in Bristol learned that the new director of Human Resources was, the week before, the switchboard operator! A pitiful company that actually doesn't treat its employees terribly - just ignores them as the company slides into bankruptcy. STAY AWAY!! The company is, to say the least, a model of stupidity and inefficiency. The chief account of the company (a CPA) told me during the last inventory we completed that the "worst day of hislife was the day he went to work for WinStuff. The CEO of the company has made it a company policy NOT to pay overdue bills until threatened with legal action - and is proud of it! Stay away from this "company"...the company has satellite ofices in Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Anaheim, CA. They have managed to lose slmost all of the accounts our (former, before we were bought out) company had developed over a ten year period.
