...I just wanted to say thank you! I passed my test and I'm able to provide for my family with the best job I've ever been given the opportunity to work! It worked perfect! I actually was sent to a second testing facility which added two hours to my 'hold time' and had no temp changes! Thanks again!...

...I really wish I would have found your products before I used synthetic urine and failed. =( There are so many success stories on forums and the internet from people who have succeeded by using synthetic, but I guess those days are long gone. I knew better, but didn't listen to my better judgment. My test results came back "inconclusive" when I used synthetic...

Question:  Will drinking water help a person pass a drug test?

Testclear has been in the business of helping people pass drug tests.   In the seven years that we have been in business, we have seen it all and heard it all.  One of the questions that come up quite frequently is:  Does Drinking Water help a Person with a Drug Test?   In this article, we will look at why people think that Drinking Water will help them pass a drug test.

In the 1980s under the Reagan Administration, The Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 was created.  It basically stipulated that if you were going to do business with the federal government you were required to drug test your employees.   What the government failed to realize is that once you started performing the drug test then people would start trying to beat the drug test.  In the beginning drinking, lots of water was effective for helping a person pass a drug test. We all know that urine is mostly water, so the theory behind the water as if a person drinks enough water then the toxins would hardly show up in a drug test and thus allow a person to pass their drug test.  The word got around and soon everyone was passing a drug test with water.   So basically that is how the whole concept came about.

Now 16 years later people still believe that water is the 'holy grail' to passing a drug test.   It seems like a day never goes by where we get a phone call from a person saying they failed a drug test from drinking water and they want to know what happened?  In fact, drinking water can kill a person, and some of our customers have reached that point of water intoxication.   You can read about water intoxication from April Holladay, USA Today Science Correspondence.

Let look at this issue from a common-sense perspective.  Water is the most common substance on our planet.  Is it sound thinking that drinking water will allow a person to pass a drug test?  Athletes drink huge amounts of water, but they fail drug tests all the time.   We have to take into consideration the labs and how sophisticated their drug testing methods are since 1988.  Today, labs are measuring specific gravity, pH, creatinine levels, and temperature are determining "positive" and "negative" results more accurately than ever. Because of that, you can not afford to jeopardize your career by just drinking water to pass a drug test.   If I still have not convinced you to read what the labs say about people who attempt to cheat a drug test by drinking water.
