What are the street names for the illegal substances identification drug tests can check?
Suppose you're unsure of the substance in your possession due to someone only identifying it with an unfamiliar street name. Whether it's PCP, methamphetamines, or an opiate, it can lead to a dangerous situation. In addition, it can be even more challenging to determine which test kit you need to check if you're unsure what it even is. These illicit drugs can go by many names.
When it comes to amphetamines, these are often referred to as Speed, Amp, Bennie, Chalk, and Black Beauties. For cocaine, you can expect to hear Big C, Coke, Snow, Flake, Candy, Crack, Blow, and Rock. If someone refers to methamphetamines, you may hear Crystal, Meth, Crystal Meth, Ice, and Glass. MDMA is often called ecstasy, but can also be known as E, Adam, XTC, and X. Opiates are frequently known as Heroin, H, Hairy Hombre, Horse, Jones, and Scag. PCP is most often called Angel Dust, Hog, and Killer Weed. Finally, marijuana can be called Pot, Weed, Herbs, Bud, MJ, Doobie, Reefer, Grass, Homegrown, and Spliff. These are the street names for some of the most common drugs you may encounter and need identification drug testing.
What's the purpose of checking drugs with this identification drug test?
The purpose of an identification drug test is that regardless of the efforts to remove illegal drugs from the streets, there will still be a market for substances whether it's casual use or those with a substance abuse problem due to substance use disorder. The illegal substance market is unregulated, meaning that any ingredient can pass during the production and distribution process. The main risk is that someone dealing with substance abuse from substance use disorder may use something they didn't intend to.
For example, those who manufacture pills sometimes cut them with other illegal drugs or substitute them with another drug entirely. As a result, someone who intended to take a dose of MDMA may find themselves ingesting something they didn't want or that could potentially harm them. In addition, drug identification tests that check if a substance is present in water or alcohol can reduce the chance of someone having their drink spiked in a public place, such as a bar or club.
What if I have no idea what illicit drugs I'm dealing with?
If you have no idea what illicit drugs you're in contact with, you'll potentially need more than one test. This sequence can ease the path to finding out what you have. Start with the ecstasy drug test. If it turns purple, then it's ecstasy. If it turns yellow, perform the LSD drug test, and if that turns purple, you have LSD. If the ecstasy drug test has no color, perform the marquis drug test, and if it turns purple, you likely have heroin, morphine, or codeine. If it turns orange before turning purple, amphetamine or methamphetamine are likely ingredients. Perform the methamphetamine drug test, and if it turns purple, you have methamphetamine. If the marquis drug test produces no color, perform the cocaine drug test. If the cocaine drug test comes back blue, you have cocaine or crack.
How do the identification drug tests work?
These drug tests come with two glass vials, one containing a cotton swab and the other a pad. First, open both vials and remove the cotton swab. Then, touch the cotton swab's tip to the potential drug, place the swab in the vial with the pad, and secure the cap. If the substance is the corresponding illicit drug, the color will appear rapidly, indicating confirmation that the substance is that illicit drug. These drug tests produce various colors, so read the instructions carefully with your drug test kit to ensure accuracy.
